According to the International Cruise Council of Australia the 2010 cruise figures have shown that almost 500,000 Australians cruised in 2010! These figures reflect an increase of 27% on 2009 and a massive 100% increase on the 2006 numbers.

A big growth was also seen in passengers taking a River Cruise.

The most popular duration for a Cruise Holiday is 8 - 14 days and the next duration in popularity is between 5-7 days. The highest growth is seen in the 15- 21 days duration.
